We recognize that many gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people have been deeply hurt and rejected by the church institution.
Not only are we saddened by this, but we also think that we have a responsibility to bring about healing and reconciliation for those who have been hurt by prejudice and discrimination.
All people deserve to feel welcomed and accepted in a place of prayer, worship, and community.
Jesus of Nazareth taught and lived extravagant welcome and offered hospitality to all.
We seek to do the same.
