Mobilizing interfaith communities for immigrant justice

 

Through grassroots organizing led by affected immigrants, NSM fights and wins immigrant justice campaigns with their members across nationality, faith, class, and immigration status. Their community organizing in Philadelphia builds power in immigrant communities to alter the power imbalance, organizes direct action campaigns, builds the individual and collective capacity of the immigrant community and brings immigrant and ally communities together in solidarity to work for change.

 

The Society for Faith and Justice is a group of congregations, ministers and laity committed to Social Justice as a spiritual discipline and spiritual practice. The Society serves as a conduit for training and development of prophetic leaders.

Philadelphia Association UCC

The Philly Association is the setting of the UCC that includes member congregations and ministries in and close to the city of Philadelphia. We partner together in service, education, and learning. The Philly Association is also responsible for assisting and caring for those interested in ordained ministry in the UCC in Philly and for ministers currently serving in the area.

Christian, Muslim, Baháʼí, Jewish, Buddhist, and beyond, Interfaith Philadelphia is led by a a professional team and Board of Directors whose members reflect a broad spectrum of religious, ethnic, and racial communities. 

 

Interfaith Philadelphia’s holistic approach to learning engages the head, the heart, and the hands through teaching, dialogue, and service.  Formal projects, or Signature Initiatives, have the same goal, which is to create communities of hope and reconciliation throughout our region—in workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods. 

 

Interfaith Philadelphia works strategically with people in workplaces, congregations, schools, and neighborhoods. Social change at Interfaith Philadelphia is defined as increased social harmony.
